Tanks Calibration according to API Chapter 2

1- Vertical Cylindrical Tanks

  • API / MPMS Chapter 2.2A / ISO 7507-1: Measurement and Calibration of Upright Cylindrical Tanks by the Manual Strapping method
  • API / MPMS Chapter 2.2B / ISO 7507-2: Calibration of Upright Cylindrical Tanks Using the Optical-reference-line method (ORLM), 
  • API / MPMS Chapter 2.2D / ISO 7507-4: Calibration of Upright Cylindrical Tanks Using the Internal electro-optical distance-ranging (EODR) (Laser method)
  • API / MPMS Chapter 2.2G: Calibration of Upright Cylindrical Tanks Using the External electro-optical distance-ranging (EODR) (Laser method) / as an alternative to API / MPMS Chapter 2.2B / ISO 7507-2
  • ISO 7507-5:  Petroleum and liquid petroleum products. Calibration of vertical cylindrical tanks- External electro-optical distance-ranging (EODR) (Laser method)

5- Ship's Calibration

  • API / MPMS Chapter 2.7:Calibration of Barge Tanks Describes three methods for determining the total incremental volumes of liquids in barge tanks for coastal and inland waterway service that have integral hull tanks. 
  • API / MPMS Chapter 2.8 a: Calibration Tanks on Ships and Oceangoing Barges.

6- For Tanks Out of Service (Empty) / Insulated / or New:

  • API/ MPMS ch 2.2 A & ch 2.2 D and ISO 7507-4:  Calibration of Upright cylindrical tanks by Internal Electro-Optical Distance Ranging method (EODR) By Lase.

7- For Tanks In Service (Full) / or None Insulated

  • ISO 7507-5: Calibration of Upright cylindrical tanks by External Electro-Optical Distance Ranging method (EODR) by Laser.
